Those Boys: The Dom is ON!

Domming your e-reader…from 7/21!

Domming your e-reader…from 7/21!

Alison Tyler‘s Those Boys officially launches tomorrow and we couldn’t be more excited. (In fact, you can already buy the e-book from Go Deeper if you don’t want to wait for Amazon and B&N.) Alison Tyler is a powerful talent and we know how fortunate we are to publish her. Her voice is to-die-for (especially when she writes as Sandy, in my opinion) and her characters vibrate on the page–as does their sexual connection. Those Boys is a page turner that is very hard to put down. And it explores BDSM lifestyle and psychology in a way that we find as profound as it is enticing. Alison’s Those Girls, in fact, which is the first in the series, was an Amazon BDSM chart-topper that shot us all right out of the water.

We are lucky. Profoundly so.

And you know who’s even luckier than us? Sandy, the narrator of Those Boys. Sandy is “engaging, hot, and compassionate” (Jade Waters), and “Most books don’t come close to making me feel for a character what I feel for Sandy” (Karen Blue). But don’t take our word for it! The wondrous Jade Waters actually invited Sandy (well, Alison really, but then again…) onto her blog as a guest. Below is a glorious snippet, and you can read the whole interview at JadeWaters.com

Jade: OH, SANDY, SANDY, SANDY…THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING ME, AND FOR ANSWERING ALL MY QUESTIONS. LET US BEGIN…WITH WHERE YOU STARTED. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A DOM, AND HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE LIFESTYLE?

Sandy: That’s like asking a person how he or she got to be tall. Or blue eyed. Or Irish. I am a Dom because I’m a Dom. That said… there is a story to the beginning. At least, to the time when I decided to embrace what I knew lived inside me rather than try to fight those intense desires. I surrendered. Perhaps most Doms won’t admit this, but that’s how it was for me. I gave in.

You’ll hear all about my beginning in Those Days [the prequel]. It started with a girl—the way these stories often do. She slid me an opener. I grabbed it in my fist.

Jade: SO TELL ME—WHAT ABOUT THE LIFESTYLE MOST APPEALS TO YOU?

Sandy: Honesty is everything. Participants in the BDSM lifestyle are honest about what they want, need, crave, require… [Read more at JadeWaters.com]

Those Boys by Alison Tyler—Coming July 21!Other rave reviews of Those Boys:

From Tamsin Flowers, Malin James, Jade Waters of the awesome PillowTalk:

T: I love how fond he is of his subs – he’s not all about the just being bossy and in charge – he really cares for them and what their needs are. He’s interested in exploring their minds, not just in dominating their bodies. It seems like a much more balanced D/s relationship than most other fictional ones.

J: Exactly. And while we do see his need for dominance through his really rich commentary on what he’s doing, wanting, etc., it’s so clear he’s full of compassion and care – but not in a bunny foo foo weird kind of way.

M: Yes! His awareness is completely authentic – he takes his responsibility and control seriously. He is literally giving Rem and Vanessa what they need, and in doing so, he gets what he needs from them. I also love that he has a serious sense of honor. It’s not a typical moral code, but he has a hard, honest integrity.

Read the whole chat here. It’s gorgeous.

From A. M. Hartnett at TheBewilderedWriter.com

Having gotten a sneak peek at this story, I can’t tell you how fitting that gorgeous cover is. If you haven’t already experienced her dom, Sandy, please buy Those Girls immediately. Last year I thought I’d read the best erotic story ever in Alison’s Giving In, then I read Those Girls. Sandy will get into your head and never leave — and she’s writing a prequel! I hope this series goes on and on and on.

Speaking of Alison, I have a confession — and even Alison doesn’t even know this. She’s actually the partial inspiration for Brendan, the hero of Uncover Me. No, really, let me explain… [read more here…]

From Jade Waters at JadeWaters.com:

See, one of the main reasons Those Boys (and the novelette that preceded it, Those Girls) is so amazing is because of Alison Tyler’s authentic and rich portrayal of a true Dom. Did you catch us chattering about this on our Pillow Talk session on Tuesday? If not, here’s a recap—Tyler has made Sandy engaging, hot, and compassionate. She hasn’t made a two-dimensional stereotype of a Dom; instead she’s written someone who cares about his subs, and who is interested in exploring not just their bodies but their minds. Because of all of this, she’s done the number one most important thing that has made everyone stand up and take notice: She’s made him real…

From Karen Blue at Reviews@Hedovibes:

Sandy of Those Boys (and Those Girls) has become my favorite character. A dominant who knows exactly how to take them down, make them beg for more. Peacocks. Those Boys is about control, and submission. It is about desire and letting go. Sandy dominates so easily, he lets Rem get right where he needs him to be. The three characters in this story have more depth then most full length novels. This novella is flawed in only one way. It is too short.

I have only had Those Boys in my hot little hands for a few weeks, and already I have memorized some of it. I read a hell of a lot, like more than is needed or normal. I have too many stories in my head. This one is the best I have read all year, no shit. Most books don’t come close to making me feel for a character what I feel for Sandy.

Buy Those Boys from Go Deeper Press (available now), from Amazon (available soon), or from B&N (available soon).

Sex and Mermaids: An Entrepreneurial Start-Up Story

GDP Square1We’re fortunate enough to have had our entrepreneurial start-up story published at Project Eve. Here’s the opening (to read the full story, go here.)

Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service.
We publish character-driven erotic stories, and we also run a sexual-spiritual course for women called The Mermaid Voyage: A Two-Week Journey of Erotic Self-Discovery. Not only have we been authors and editors for years, but we’re also reiki practitioners and angel readers, so our erotic stories and courses promote erotic wellbeing on every level. We’re passionate about sexuality, peace, and self-love. And we take the erotic very seriously.

What inspired you to launch your business idea?
When I was a girl who was deeply ashamed of her body and sexuality, I discovered the erotic works of Anais Nin. Suddenly, I wasn’t alone any more, and my whole life changed, because I realized that I wasn’t warped or twisted, but simply human. I hid that book under my mattress and prayed it would never be found. Without Nin, I don’t know what I would have done.

So, decades later, my partner Angela and I decided to launch Go Deeper Press and the Mermaid Voyage, in order to promote sex-positivity. We’ve been around less than a year, creating erotic materials that promote love, enjoyment, and pride.

What problem does your business or organization solve?
Right now, with Russia attacking its LGBTQ citizens, and families telling their children that sex is shame, we know that erotica—through its pride in sexuality—can save lives. We also know… [Continue reading here]

THIRD-PARTY EXTENSION

Jacob Louder

Two cocks in our bedroom and my wife is ecstatic. Let me define: Erin is on her back on the bed, her asshole wide from my dick, her pussy wet as hell from his. Panting still, she smiles and stretches out her legs the way I like.

“Go on, Scotty,” Erin says. “He’s your present.”

He is Jordan. I don’t remember his screen name completely, but it contained the word “extension.” Four inches taller than me and ten times prettier. He has muscles I never had, and his cock—my God. Jordan filled my wife’s cunt, spread it wider than ever. She gasped and moaned in a way I’ve never heard. I thought he was hurting her, until I felt her body relax, saw the motion in her hips. When I fucked her ass, for a while there, he was all I could feel.

Jordan waits, looking me over with his coy smile, his strong chin. He cups his balls with one hand, then licks the palm of the other, bringing it down to his cock to start a gentle tug.

It’s been years since I had a cock in my mouth, and tonight, that’s all I want. I want to feel Jordan deep in my throat, to taste what’s left of Erin.

For-hire or not, it’s polite to ask. “Can I suck it?” My own cock stirs then. Jordan notices.

“Yeah, man,” he says. “Come do whatever you want to me.”

Erin moves on the bed, lets out a tiny moan.

This takes no time: Me on my knees and his hands in my hair and the taste, the smell, of my wife from the tip of his cock down its length to his balls.

I can hear Erin over Jordan’s gasps, his little puffs of air: “My God, look at you suck it. You are beautiful.”

My hands are wet and filled with him. I kiss and lick, rub my lips again and again in the spots that make him moan, that make him hold my hair tight behind my ears.

That’s when I feel her: Erin’s soft hands on my dick, my dick in Erin’s mouth. It takes a little while for me to notice, but she’s mirroring me. What I do to Jordan’s cock, she does to mine. Every inch I take, every gentle squeeze of his balls, I get the same.

The gentle growl in Jordan’s throat grows to a yell, and then there he is, pulling away from my mouth and working his cock at a rapid pace. His big load shoots all over my chest, his cream dripping down to my stomach.

“Fuck!” Jordan says. “That was awesome!” In this moment, he suddenly has the face of a man half his age.

Erin lets go of my cock and gets to her knees. She wipes her fingers across my chest. Once they are covered in Jordan’s come, she brings them to my mouth, and I lick them clean, like icing from my birthday cake.

Dirty Little Numbers will be coming this month, featuring both heterosexual and queer characters. To receive free stories that won’t be posted on our blog, as well as a free erotic e-book, sign up for our newsletter. We heart our subscribers!

Margaret Thatcher: The Ultimate Domme

Margaret Thatcher, in her pearls. Photo credit below post.

Margaret Thatcher, in her pearls. Photo credit below post.

First of all, erotic author Harper Bliss asked me some exciting questions this week.  To view the interview, which includes who I’d like to screw, why I dig Spike, and how I feel about coming out, visit her fabulous blog.  This is the first of Harper’s interviews with authors whose books she rates highly.  In fact, I’m honored that Harper says:

“I totally recommend every book featured on here.  Confessions of a Kinky Divorcee is a great start because it’s light, funny, utterly delicious and extremely well-written (and very, very hot!) You can get it for $1.99 (!) on Amazon US and UK and, frankly, it was the best $1.99 I spent in a very long time.”

Dear Harper, thank you.  Please know that *Lana Fox glows with pride.*

Also, on a very different note, you might be aware that Britain’s first female prime minister, Margaret Thatcher, died this week.  (Read about it at Salon.)  She was a domme, in her way.  And seeing as I’m a Brit who loves a bit of BDSM and now lives in Boston, US, how could I not comment?  As it happens, when I was a kid, I spent many unhappy evenings in pitch darkness because of Thatcher.  Why?  Because everyone who wasn’t dripping in diamonds was being treated so badly that they were on strike.  What’s more, Thatcher pretty much ignored them.

That said, I do often think of Margaret Thatcher as a tragic Shakespearian BDSM anti-hero, strutting around in her pearls and insisting that she could darn well run the nation as a woman, thank you very much.  And that was very important for us, as Brits.  To watch a woman in a world of men running the country as she saw fit.

Actually, in the film starring Meryl Streep (boy, that woman can act!), there is a wonderful moment where Thatcher, before she is voted in, is told by her advisors that she shouldn’t wear pearls.  They’re too femme, too delicate, her advisors say.  But Thatcher tells them, point blank, that pearls are exactly the tone that the Conservative Party wishes to strike.

So she wore those pearls and she ruled in those pearls.

And I sat in candlelight and drew bad pictures in crayon.

Britain: Land of Sex Scandals

indexYes folks, we’re in London on a Go Deeper vacation.  Of course, I’m a British ex-pat, so coming “home” is always a pretty amazing — and befuddling — experience.  Anyhoo, you might already know that Britain is reputed to be both a place of BDSM and also a country where sex is often “too embarrassing to talk about.”  Both? you cry…  Yes, a paradox in leather and chains.

So!  Here are a few scandals from the past (courtesy of Mental Floss) in which British politicians were discovered in compromising positions.  The funny thing is that many “heterosexual” male politicians have been discovered, over the years, to be secretly having (or seeking) gay sex.  These news stories are called “scandals” by gossips and homophobes (and their newspapers of course) but for many of us, the only “scandal” in several of these cases is the fact that the person concerned appeared to be cheating on their monogamous partner, by having secret sex in clandestine places.  And that, in my opinion, is also the fault of sexual shame.

On a final note, Angela and I wanted to visit Sh! Erotic Emporium yesterday — a London sex store for women — but it was just too far away.  I went to Sh! many years ago and really enjoyed it.  In fact, it’s where I bought one of my first sex toys.  If you’re in London, do take a peek.

Tally-ho for now, folks!

Pony Play with Ashley Smith

Ashley Smith photographed by Ellen von Unwerth for Galore Magazine NY

Thanks to photographer Ellen von Unwerth, model Ashley Smith, and Galore Magazine (via TinyNibbles and Touch Puppet) for this amazing spread.  Note that the pics are just a couple in a whole series.  At GDP, we love the aesthetic here.  These pics above, in my opinion, are hot because of how noir they are, how suggestive they are, and how focused they are on texture and touch.  Plus Ashley is, obviously, gorgeous.

The full spread is from Galore Magazine.  Enjoy!

BDSM Gets Spanked and Ogled

There was a time when few could see the beauty in BDSM, but that seems like an age away now.  Personally, when the body is bound, I think it is at its most beautiful.  Tying wrists together can accentuate their size, not to mention the slope of the arms, and if you’ve never seen Japanese rope bondage raising a pair of breasts towards the eye (and mouth!), you’ve been missing a treat.  What’s more, post-spanking, a pair of buttocks can sport a delightful blush, and I have a particular yen for running the tip of a riding crop across my lover’s skin.  Yes, BDSM can be aesthetically gorgeous, and now that the BDSM-trilogy-that-shall-not-be-named has hit the big time, we’re seeing kink-inspired glamour all over the place.   Just look at the “choking” on the cover of Paris Vogue that caused such controversy a couple of months ago.  BDSM gets spanked, indeed — which seems strange, especially since (I assume) Stephanie Seymour gave her consent and looks far from unexcited!

But my oh my, if you want to experience the grace of BDSM, not to mention the finesse of female bodies, take a look at (fairly NSFW) Gunter Blum’s website.  For one thing, that man can make ass cheeks look swankier than pearls, and what he does for vulvas is sublime.  Black and white BDSM has never looked more colorful.  And don’t you just ache to touch Blum’s models?

I know I do.  *swoon*

Sweaty Palms: The Pleasure in Mixing Fear With Sex

photo by Arha Detruit, courtesy of straightuplove.com

There’s a good chance I’m singing to the choir, since fear and sex are likely not new concepts to anyone who’s played with BDSM or any of its magical variations. As a kind visitor to this blog and a supporter of Go Deeper Press, you’re likely sex-positive, and, hey, that’s why we get along so well. So, understanding the roles and limits of BDSM, you know that when I say “fear,” I’m talking a certain type of anxiety that comes with consensually submitting to someone you trust. It’s that heavy heartbeat and cool sensation that runs up and down all the right parts of your body when you’re facing the wall, or on your knees with your eyes closed beneath the blindfold, per your dominant’s command. You’re left to wait and listen, praying that you know what’s coming next.

And you don’t always do, but there are little hints: the sounds of drawers opening, the clinking and scraping sounds of restraints getting ready for wrists or ankles, the sizzle of a cane sliding from its sheath. There’s the weight of the air when your dominant stands close, but you can’t feel them yet, not even the slightest of grazes. You’re left to wait, and so the anxiety, the best type of fear, builds with the excitement of this scene.

Even with all the safe words in place, with the pre-scene discussions, with all the talk about what you want and what they want—and oh! when these two lists match!—fear still plays its part. Or maybe it’s just me? I’m not quick to use a safe word, but that doesn’t mean I’m stubborn or stupid. I trust my partner entirely, and I’m typically more than ready to give her what she wants to take from me, the ways she wants to push and for how long. There’s nothing more satisfying, nothing sexier, than feeling pain that you wanted and negotiated run high toward your limits. And nothing is more satisfying than having a connection with a partner who intuitively knows when enough is enough, who can see and sense you stretched tight. That, for me, is what pleasure means. That’s when fear plays best in sex.

Blood and Sex…Together

Do you remember the Rolling Stone cover to the left, which starred the main players in True Blood?  There was quite a to-do about it.  “Blood and sex together?” people were shouting.  “Argh, make it stop!”  But blood can be sexy.  And for many, it often is.  In fact, you only need look to the vampire myth to see this truth in action.  A trail of blood down a pale neck, the act of biting so hard that we cut a lover’s skin…such stock images from the horror genres hold a great deal of sexy fascination.  In fact, if you want to see vampire fiction at its most sexy, check out Buffy the Vampire Slayer when she lets her boyfriend, Angel, drink her blood, because it is his only cure.  Whedon et. al. are super at protecting their footage from the internet, but here’s a lovely mix that includes moments from the scene:

While we’re at it, I am also amazed at how much shaming there is of menstrual blood in sex scenes, and I wonder if the Rolling Stone cover above reflects this strange phobia.  Personally, as a queer woman, I have zero problems with menstrual blood during sex — in fact, for me, it can bring a whole new depth of intimacy.  This is also a reminder that bloodshed doesn’t have to mean pain or wounds.  That said, there are many who like to be cut or grazed in the bedroom (which of course demands safety, care, trust and consent).  But I’ve no doubt that this can be hot as all heck.  In fact, as someone who likes to switch in BDSM, I’d vamp (or be vamped) any day if only I had the fangs…
