Art Inspired by “Fifty Shades of Grey”

It’s in your grocery store, your local Target, on the tables in the cafe where your local Moms’ Club meets. It might even be hidden in the pews of your local church (if you’re lucky), or tucked behind the toilet in the girls’ room of your local high school. And now that E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey has even outsold everyone’s favorite wizard, it’s safe to say that nearly each and every one of us has crossed paths with this novel, whether in an amiable way or not.

Now, Juxtapoz magazine has posted an amazing collection of 50 Shades-inspired art curated by Saatchi Online. Sure, it may not be really all that suitable for work, but it’s definitely worth a look once, you know, you have some “alone time.”

  1. Oh A., I *love* this artwork! Especially the one where they’re just about to kiss and the woman has scratches on her chest. Gorgeous.

I also want to plug myself because, as you know, I am brazen like that! Here’s my piece at Glo on why I believe 50 Shades has been such a success this year:
